IFORCE SECURES LONG-TERM DEAL WITH NEW
TV SHOPPING CHANNEL
iForce, the fastest growing supply chain business in the UK, has been awarded a new long-term contract to provide a range of fulfilment services to The Craft Channel, the home of craft shopping TV. This move will ensure the TV-based retailer can benefit from streamlined operations as it embarks on the next stage of its growth.
The Craft Channel, which broadcasts live on Sky (channel 679) and Freesat (channel 818), was launched in September 2015. Due to a significant growth in sales the company recently sought the help of iForce to increase the proficiency of its supply chain including the establishment of a warehousing operation and management of their parcel carriers.
The Gateway product, powered by the iForce proprietary software SMART, has been chosen by The Craft Channel and deployed in the iForce shared user warehouse in Saltley, Birmingham. Under the terms of the deal, iForce will initially manage items from the Anna Griffin Range. Anna is labelled “the Queen of American crafting” and her collection is a regular feature across the channel.
Over the coming months, iForce will manage the fulfilment of an extended range of products, whilst The Craft Channel will also deploy iForce Pathfinder, the company’s innovative carrier management solution that is underpinned by the Route Genie software. This will allow the retailer to achieve the best carrier options in terms of pricing and customer service.
Dali Graham, Director at The Craft Channel, said: “As a relatively young channel, we were looking for an experienced partner that could provide a host of professional fulfilment services whilst helping our organisation to drive further efficiencies across the supply chain. iForce certainly ticks all of those boxes and we look forward to establishing a relationship that is both successful and prosperous.”
Brian Gaunt, CEO, iForce, said: “We are delighted to welcome Craft Channel into our portfolio of the UK’s leading retailers. We were able to demonstrate to them that we will deploy the highest standard of software and operational capability to meet all of the aspirations of a growing business. The fact that our software and operational capability underpinned the start-up of e-commerce warehouse operations for John Lewis over 10 years ago and continues to support them to-day was re-assuring to them.”
