Whistl partners with iForce to develop carrier management tool

Whistl, the second largest postal company in the UK, has partnered with iForce, the fastest growing supply chain business in the UK, to develop IRS (Intelligent Routing System) a bespoke carriage software for its multi-carrier single supplier packets and parcel service.

The software allows Whistl to collect all of a customer’s ecommerce large letters, packet and parcels (and any mail) in one go, integrating with  a range of carefully selected carriers, allowing Whistl to process, manage and track deliveries more efficiently. Also it enables tailored, branded communications to be sent to the end consumer, at chosen trigger points along the delivery process.

Currently, Whistl has over 60 million ecommerce items passing through its UK wide network and provides tracked and untracked services, support for label printing, manifesting and customer notification.

Christine Key, Managing Director, Packets & Parcels, Whistl, said: “The iForce IRS software has enabled us to provide a single, multi-carrier management tool suitable for both large and small retailers who want a seamless cost effective way to enhance their delivery activity and ultimately improve the end consumer experience.”

Paul Mohan, Chief Operating Officer, iForce, said: “We were delighted to be chosen by Whistl as their partner to develop a bespoke carriage management solution, in competition with long established alternative software providers. iForce has always believed that software is key to its continued growth and has always placed investment in its software solutions at the core of its strategy. It is always pleasing to see the work we have produced being tested against the rest of the market and winning.”
