Coronavirus update – delivering for the country
We want to keep you informed about what we are doing in response to the coronavirus outbreak. Coronavirus update – delivering for the country
Like all of us, we are following the latest advice from Government, World Health Organisation, Public Health England and the NHS to make sure our colleagues stay safe. We’re putting all the necessary measures in place to ensure this guidance is followed by everyone, and our executive team are having calls daily to allow decisions to be made immediately as required.
During these uncertain times, we are doing all we can to maintain our usual high standards and it is paramount that we support customers and play our part in delivering and keeping the UK running. To make sure we can always deliver, we have made changes to the way we work, in line with the rest of the supply chain, and indeed the rest of the country.
Together, we have a huge responsibility to help keep the UK moving and we understand that by providing an essential service we must do everything in our power to continue to plan and deliver, to provide necessary goods to all our key customers, in particular, food retailers.
Each role within our business ensures the health, safety and wellbeing of our drivers and warehouse operatives, along with the back office support from our all our teams, and are crucial to keeping the country fed, safe and well.
These are unprecedented times. The coronavirus impacts every person, every town, every nation and every business in the world, but rest assured our business continuity plans are built to ensure, we have the systems and supply chain in place to make sure we can still supply first-class services to all our customer across the end-to-end supply chain.
All our employees are working exceptionally hard, and we are all committed to continue to support our customers and suppliers – we are all in this together.
