iForce Demonstrates further Commitment to Environmental Excellence
Organisations need to take steps to safeguard our planet to ensure the future is sustainable, for all.
We are proud to announce that iForce has achieved ISO 14001 certification in 2023. Additionally, ISO 14001 has become the international standard for designing and implementing an environmental management system (EMS).
The certification requires companies to consider all environmental issues relevant to their operations, to establish a strategy and suitable procedures to measure, reduce, and manage their environmental impacts, and to continually improve their systems and approaches for addressing them.
Moreover, Any organisation that achieves ISO 14001 certification must consider a wide variety of potential environmental impacts, including air pollution, water and sewage issues, waste management, soil contamination, climate change mitigation and adaptation, and resource use and efficiency.
ISO 14001 is an effective guide to ensuring companies take a systematic and structured approach to reducing greenhouse gas emissions. Furthermore, iForce have created an EMS with ISO 14001, which we will use to help us achieve our Net Zero commitments by 2050.
For iForce, certification and the active management of our environment will ensure we will:
- Conducting carbon footprint assessments and reporting our greenhouse gas emissions
- Defining and implementing a Carbon Reduction Plan (CRP)
- Implementing energy-efficient measures and policies to reduce energy consumption and other associated emissions
- Utilising cleaner, renewable energy sources
- Reducing and managing resources including less water usage and waste production
- Offsetting any remaining emissions through supporting carbon reduction projects or other associated means
- Ensuring a higher environmental competence throughout the company.
- Certification is also an opportunity to demonstrate to our team, our customers, and the community that we’re committed to the environment and achieving our Net Zero commitments. Moreover, it signifies our dedication to sustainability and environmental responsibility.
ISO 14001 certification guarantees the quality of an organization’s environmental management systems, and auditors can verify any company’s compliance with the certification. Moreover, this reassures anyone doing business with a certified company that it has proper procedures in place to measure, reduce, and manage its environmental impacts effectively.
