Planning Coordinator– Sutton

Type: Full Time (37.5 hours per week)

Working days/hours: Any 5/7 days between 6:00am and 10:00pm.  

Banked hours as part of contract 

Role Purpose:

First contact for Planning and Resource function. Drives quality and productivity delivery within the operations ensuring clear measurement of improvements and overall consistent delivery of all Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Service Level Agreements (SLAs). Support the site management team in ensuring all environmental, safety and security policies are adhered to at all times.

 

Key Accountabilities:

Role Specific

  • Planning and communication of hamper building including creating instruction and setting priorities

  • Regular interaction with customer to understand changing priorities and escalate any issues

  • Daily resource planning to include all known factors (regular volumes, ad hoc tasks, holidays, absence) and subsequent liaison with agency providers to amend resource levels as required

  • Maintaining a good working relationship with agency suppliers including involvement in regular reviews and ensuring sufficient inducted headcount are available

    Performance Management

  • Removing obstacles, organising workflow, acting as a communication channel between Support Manager and Colleagues.

  • Effective deployment of skills during shift.

  • Identify training needs and arranging via Support Manager.

  • Collaborate with & coordinate as requested with Shift Management team.

  • Escalate issues to management.

  • Where possible resolve problems or escalate where necessary.

  • Promote team spirit throughout shift and demonstrate regard for the individual

    Quality

  • Ensuring accuracy of work by individuals and team.

  • Ensuring quality is monitored and maintained in all areas.

  • Housekeeping & organisation of resources.

  • Address quality issues and escalate for any action to be taken.

  • Seeking out opportunities for continuous improvement.

    Safety

  • Ensure all Colleagues are wearing the correct PPE; arrange replacements as required.

  • Conduct accident investigations as directed.

  • Escalate near misses and any incidents.

  • Ensure colleagues are following SOPs correctly.

  • Address potential hazards and escalate where required.

    Deployment

  • Allocate tasks during shift to meet the needs of the operation.

  • Act impartially to ensure all colleagues are allocated work equally and fairly.

    Communication Activities

  • Deliver daily briefs professionally ensuring understanding by all as required.

  • Deliver safety briefs as required.

  • Attend weekly/bi-weekly 121 with Line Manager.

  • Conduct both positive and negative Record of Conversations in line with Company standards

  • Conduct Colleague Performance Reviews in line with Company standards.
