Digital Village music reached a point in its growth where outsourcing its online and store fulfilment became a serious consideration.
Through an extensive tender process, dv music were looking to appoint a supplier who would care about their business as they did, identify ongoing opportunities to reduce costs as well as manage large spikes in volume, and on this basis iForce were awarded the contract.
In March 2010, iForce successfully launched its fully outsourced solution, which broadly covered three key activities; direct to consumer fulfilment, education fulfilment to schools/colleagues as well as distribution to Digital Village's music stores.
Despite launching during an Education peak, all objectives were achieved without any derogation of services.
Since then, the two businesses have worked hard to identify opportunities to strip out cost throughout the supply chain as well as extending customer propositions wherever possible.
