A carrier integrated solution that determines the most effective routing for delivery of customer orders. Developed in-house and continually updated, this system is integrated with many specialist carriers that are all therefore available for our clients to use in their solution.

Fully integrated with SMaRT, IRS (Intelligence Routing System) uses its knowledge of a wide range of carriers and carrier services to determine the appropriate routing of parcels and packages. IRS allows clients to make preference decisions regarding factors such as cost, service level and insurance valuation. IRS itself makes preferences on carrier limitations such as volume, weight and product content (i.e. aerosols, glass etc.). Using this information, IRS decides which carrier will provide the optimum service within the pre-determined boundaries. The ongoing consignment tracking inherent within the system allows for the parcels to be tracked from the iForce warehouse to the customer's door.

The IRS system complements SMaRT in so far as the continuing e-commerce challenge is that it is still defined as a business by the 'last mile'. With integration to a range of carriers allowing our clients to track deliveries to their customer's door a vital piece of the consumer offer is monitored. This results in early notification of issues and potential failures within the business and thus allows for early communication with the customer.
